UK Safer Internet Day

On Wednesday 1st February, over 240 year 7 students participated in a Mannequin Challenge to raise awareness of UK Safer Internet Day which took place on Tuesday 7th February.

Using green screen technology, similar to that used on weather forecasts, digital messages regarding safer use of the internet were placed into green cards that the students were holding. Everyone involved did a fantastic job of being totally frozen whilst they were filmed with students spanning almost the entire length of the main school mall which was no easy feat. Amazingly, the entire video was recorded in one shot!

The end-product was excellent and can be viewed on our social media platforms and Youtube channel; the link for which can be found here:

We must all be aware that although the internet is a fantastic resource, we must ensure that we are acting in a sensible and responsible manner to keep both ourselves and our private information safe.
