      Students, staff and parents are celebrating today after receiving excellent GCSE results, with significant improvements in key headline measures, despite this being the first year of the new tougher exams in English and maths.

    • A-Levels 2017

      The academy celebrates outstanding exams results with almost two-thirds of students heading to university after another year of strong A levels.

      Across the vocational and A Level subjects, a brilliant two-thirds of entries (64%) were graded at the higher levels of A* to C, and almost every entry (98%) achieved a pass. And every single student who applied to university (61% of the Year 13 cohort) has achieved the grades they needed to officially secure their place.

    • Creative year 7 student raises money for charity

      Year 7 student May Parry loves to raise money for charity. In June, the Mayor of Walsall invited May to the parlour having heard of the various fundraising she had been involved with, including £4500 for Rainbow Child Foundation. This charity raises money to help poor children in Africa with food, water and medication amongst others. The Mayor set May a challenge to raise some money for the Mayor’s Appeal; supporting St Giles Hospice.
